Is it just me?! & {FREEBIE WATCH}

Ok... so there was all of this hullabaloo about Google Reader shutting down.... now unless I am just confused about what exactly Google Reader was doing for me and all the blogs I follow.... what was all of the hullabaloo about??? For me personally I can still see all of the people I've been following on Blogger and all of their posts.... If this isn't google reader....then what exactly was google reader doing for me???

Now onto something a little more fun..... I haven't blogged about one of my new favorites that I've made....
Do any of you get subscriptions to Time for Kids or Scholastic News?
 At my school we get Time for Kids and it is something that I love!  It helps to keep the kids informed, shows them a different kind of information print, and does a great job showing non-fiction text features!  These magazines come with questions or activities on the back and a teachers guide.  However..... I wanted something more for my kids, so I created....

I am super excited about these and breaking them out to work with my kids.  This is something that after guiding them through several of the different flip books they will be able to do pretty independently, at least my kids last year would have been able to! ;)  These flip books cover identifying non-fiction text features, creating non-fiction text features, creating questions (partner answers), main idea, identifying interesting facts, and MORE!
{Here is a little preview.}

I created the flip books to be run front to back, but honestly the inside cover you don't even have to really run, there are just a couple that make it a little easier for kids that need the additional guidance! I also love that there are so many different ways that I can differentiate using these too!  Be sure to like my facebook page, because I plan to have a flash giveaway of these tomorrow afternoon!! :)

  3. Okay, this was the post I was trying to comment on!!!

    No, it is not just you! I thought the same thing...everyone was saying I wouldn't be able to see my blogs from my blogger dashboard...but I still can. However, I do like Bloglovin' because it fades out the posts I've already read. Neat feature!
