In an effort to get back to my normal since having Baby S, I've started working out again and am loving the feeling of being active again!  I also just ordered the 21 day fix from Beachbody and plan to start it as soon as it comes in!!

This week my handsome husband and I had the opportunity to go out on our first date since Baby S arrived!  We went to Dave & Busters, it was the FIRST time I've ever been there & boy oh boy it was a blast!!

That also meant leaving Baby S for the first time over night, which while it stressed me out a little, we all survived!! :)

I was also able to snag some back to school items this week for cheep-cheep!! In addition to the glue deals I was able to snag at Staples (glue bottles for 10 cents and 4pks of glue sticks for 25 cents), I found a $5 bin at Office Max that had some FABULOUS deals!
Yes, each one of these were only $5, and the post it note dispenser also included 12 refill pads! This teacher will be set!

Wednesday I went to my first Professional Development session this summer.  I'm VERY lucky that I have a district that values the continuing of education for teachers and brings in wonderful presenters for us!  Wednesday's session was with Jane from Boxcars and One-Eyed Jacks.   We learned boocoos of games to increase math fluency with our kiddos!  We also got some great goodie bags to get us started in our classrooms!!   There are TONS of resources and videos on their website that teach you how to play the games.  Some include just dice, others include cards.  Here is a cute time game that we learned!

& last, we had some bananas that were no longer in what I consider just edible enough to eat on their own, so B and I had a baking date last night and made some banana bread!! This is a favorite in our house!!!
Of course, since it was always my favorite thing to do as a child, I could never deprive mine from licking the batter off the beaters!

I hope you all have a great weekend!! :)

Five For Friday -- Summer Edition!

Whew, where has this week gone?!?!  I can't believe 2 weeks of summer have already zoomed by!  I'm linking up with Kacey for Five for Friday & I even have a fun BTS freebie for you! :)
One:  Monday was SUPER successful.  I managed to grab several great baskets from Ross to organize my closets!  I managed to clean out my spare bedroom, throw out about 3 bags of J-U-N-K & take 3 bags to Goodwill!  It felt great to get rid of that stuff!!

Two: I had the priviledge to go to an awesome PLC teleconference on Tuesday with several other teachers from my school and our prinicipal!  We have done PLC meetings since I began teaching and it has greatly evolved in just the 3 years that I've been at my school.  This year there will be many changes, one being that they will be lead by the teachers, not by admin.  Since I will be serving as team leader next year, a lot of responsiblity will be laid on us!  I am so excited about all of the changes coming our way!! I think it will make our already tight & wonderful team even stronger!

Three:  I have owned my house for a little over 2 years!  It's hard to believe, but in those two years, I haven't managed to get nearly enough of what I want done around the house done!  I have decided this week, that is ALL changing, THIS summer!!  A lot of transormations are already in the makings...some big & some small!!
I've also had a ridiculous amount of trips to Home Depot & Ikea where I went for 1-2 things and ended up spending wayyyyyy too much!!

I am also excited that I will be painting B's room this weekend.... and hopefully my room soon after!  I really can't wait to try the effect with the gloss and stencils in B's room!  Be on the lookout for pictures soon!

Four: I haven't done TOO much work... I've been busy soaking up my time with B and doing house stuff...

However, I did manage to make a fun little BTS get to know you activity FREEBIE!!!

Five:  Today B and I are going to see the new Monsters Inc!  I can't wait to see her reaction, she LOVES Sully!  Check out this picture!!!! :)

I am also planning to do a Monsters Inc. birthday party for her next week!! EEKKK! :)

Thank you google images for the inspiration!!! I guess it's more if a thank you to the bloggers and pinners who have shared!! :)

Google reader is in its final days! Don't forget, you can click below to follow me now on BlogLovin! :)

5-4-F: Week 1 Summer Rewind

I got to thinking today... my first week of summer has officially come and gone!  :(  This summer is going to FUH-LYYY by!  Better late than never, I'm linking up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs!

One:
Tuesday B & I set out on our first of what I expect to many mini-vacays of the summer!  We went to visit some of my best friends in the DFW area!  Our first stop was at my friend Shane & Claire's house!  We were greeted by another great friend, Cameron, too & jumped right into the pool upon our arrival!

You can tell B definitely enjoyed herself!! She learned MANY new tricks and L.O.V.E.D. all of the attention!  Tuesday night she also learned how to blow bubbles ALL. BY. HERSELF.  Talk about a proud baby!! I was a pretty proud mommy, too, even if I am not the one who gets to take credit for teaching her this one! :)

Two:
Wednesday we set out to my best friends house and quickly there after hopped in the car to my first Rangers game of the season, but most importantly B's FIRST Rangers game ever!
B rocking her first new Rangers shirt from Aunt Lindsey!

Plus it was dollar hot dog night which makes it even better!!  I'm not sure what was her favorite part... the hotdogs.... the popcorn.... the strawberry Chill .... or the attention from everyone else! :)  B had a stinkin' great time!

Three:
Thursday we set out for some shopping time... Something I DEFINITELY enjoyed!  We hit the VS semi-annual sale, JCrew Outlet, & Disney store to get ahead on some of B's bday presents!  B got to ride the carousel & then got a balloon crown!  Spoiled baby!
She was all tuckered out afterwards!

We also made a pitstop to grab a couple bags of the BEST popcorn EV-ER!!  Yummo!  I may or may not have stopped again before we headed home and grabbed another bag... or two!  Seriously... BEST. POPCORN. EVER!

Four:
We took B to the go swimming or "schimmin" {insert wiggle move} as B says!
Later, Thursday evening, we went to my ALL TIME fav restaurant from college... FUZZY'S!

Five:
We officially made it HOME!!  B was so exhausted & so ready to be home! I was super excited to see this package sitting on my doorstep when I got home, too!! :)

Now I just need to figure out what these Ring-Its are & laminate my chevron border!!! :) THANK YOU, Really Good Suff!!!

Today I officially started day one of Insanity by doing the fit test!!  I can't wait to see the results over time!

This week I have a day of professional development and then interviewing for our new 2nd grade position.  The remainder of the week will be spent at the pool, outside with my love bug, & doing lots of insanity!!

Is anyone else unable to keep their mind from wandering into next year!!??!?!?!  Mine is constantly spiraling forward!!!

5-4-Saturday

Whew, it has been a week, but I'm so glad that this week month is over!  3.5 schools days plus a workday left!  I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!

So I didn't get to link up yesterday for Fve for Friday, so here I am today to do it!

One:
If you caught my posts throughout the week you know I received 3 LARGE boxes from Really Good Stuff this week!  Talk about an excited teacher!
This is the before...YUK!
Here is the afterish picture!  I have done even more to the bottom two shelves since this picture, but didn't get a chance to take a picture!

Even though I was excited about the delivery.....it caused a lot of stress as I wanted to get everything done right then and there!!!

2.  In addition to my big delivery, I spent a lot of time playing with my silhouette machine and going vinyl crazy!  I bought some cute little boxes from the Target dollar spot  weeks ago and have finally transformed them for my table boxes next year!

They started out as plain-Jane grey boxes and ended like this!

3.
These are the colors I've decided for my room next year...hopefully this girl can manage to go a year without changing it all over again!!!   I think my classroom has suffered from change 3 out of the last 3 years I've been in it!
My kids said, "Ms. Pepper, you should just be called zig zag because you really like that stuff!"  They are fully aware of my chevron obsession!!!

The best part is that I just found out Creative Teaching Press has come out with chevron borders....and they come in Grey!!!!!

4. I've mentioned a couple of times that one of my ah-mazing coworkers on my team, Gwen, has taken another position on campus.  Due to this I've inherited a TON OF STUFF!!  Here is one of the gems I generously took off her hands and jazzed up!
I wish I would have completely emptied it off for the before picture.... but you can see before and after with all the STUFF on it!
I'm slightly obsessed with how much better it looks!

She has also given me tons of magazines to add to my library, big books, and goodness, so much now that I can't even remember EVERYTHING!  Before we left work yesterday she came in with yet another treat!

No worries, this one isn't a hand me down!! Gwen's sweet husband bought it for me!  Let me tell you, this woman, her relationship with her husband, and the closeness of her family is something that I pray to one day have!! She is truly an inspiration all around!

5. I mentioned in my post on Thursday that I wanted to share a little about another co-worker of mine, Sam!  This girl is amazing, she is a first year teacher, with quite a wit!  I've been giving her a hard time for MONTHS now about how plain-jane her stuff is!  I mean times new roman, size 12 font, plain-jane!  After telling and telling her how EASY it is to jazz it up, I finally convinced her to try! I have shown her some of the tricks of the trade and this girl has been quite the little creator!! She has been creating WAY more than me here lately! :)  I'm SUPER proud of her though!  Check out the pictures of some of the cute things she has created so far!

This is an awesome book she made for the kids to work on covering basically EVERYTHING they've learned all year in math! I can't wait to have my kids get started next week!
These are a few of the pages inside!

This was the FIRST thing she made, it was a proud moment for us both!! I mean she REALLY caught on QUICK!
I'm trying to convince her to start a TPT store!!

My Friday ended great yesterday with this sweet gift from one of my sweet students!! It was jammed full of fruit, chocolates, trail mix, and a SUPER sweet card!  I sliced open that pineapple first thing this morning!! :)

I hope you all have a MARVELOUS weekend... .those of you on summer break already, I'm envious... Those of you who are with me and still have 3.5 or more days left.... We can do it!!
