May Goals, Currently, Mother's Day Preview, Oh my!

So, it is officially May.  It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is upon us.  At this point of the year, we are strictly is survival mode.

I am doing 2 linkys tonight & HAVE TO share the progress of my kiddos Mother's Day books!! L.O.V.E.

First, I'm linking up with Farley over at Oh' Boy 4th Grade!

I found another great linky over at I {heart} Recess that involves making monthly goals!  So here's to May!

Ok, so now I MUST share some of the funness going on with our Mother's Day books.   In the past I have not been quite as prepared at this point. I would usually just be scrounging around to find my copies for the Mother's Day book.  However this year I have had them copied for a week and the covers and first 4 pages of the books are DONE!!  The covers have even already been laminated!  I changed my original vision for the cover this year about 28 million times before I was satisfied!

This one probably is one of my favorites solely because of her presh pose.  I don't know if you can tell or not, but she is totally pointing toward YOU, the reader, who in this case will be her sweet mom!! :)

This weekend, I bought a chalkboard at Hobby Lobby (reg.7.99 plus 40% off coupon = cheap!) and painted it the trim yellow!  So Monday I chalked it up & I took the kids pics!  They were able to choose whatever they wanted to be on the chalk board.  I ended up with 4 different signs, "I love you," "you're a supermom," "my mom's a rockstar," and "world's best mom!"  I printed the pics and they began the actual book yesterday.  MOST of the kids have completed 4 of the 10-12 pages of their book! Here are some of my favorite pages so far! :)
I mean seriously, how much funnier can it get!! I laughed out loud multiple times in regards to this kiddos writing!! I hope B never writes that my best cooking has to do with the microwave, especially since I use the microwave sparingly!

Love-Bug, I don't know who told you cleaning was fun, but they lied!  haha

These two pages were from the same little miss, but I couldn't pick one over the other to share.  She is such a hard worker and overall one of the SWEETEST kids I've ever had the privilege of having as a student!!
If you knew this kid, you would totally laugh extra hard because of his personality!  Love it!

You can grab this Mother's Day book in my TPT store by clicking below! :)
Wishing you a quick Thursday & Friday!! :)
