I feel like when it comes to the blogging world lately though... glitching is the perfect word for my behavior! I can't even begin to tell you about the number of times I was going to blog, but then something came up, going to the park with B or her insisting on cuddles, grading papers, chatting with a friend 150 miles away, writing report card comments, coloring with my baby, etc... I guess it's that so called thing, life. Cherishing and enjoying these little moments, (not so much the grading papers and writing report card comments) the little ones when it comes to Berklee, well it is my number one priority. I don't ever want to look back on a day and wish I spent those few extra minutes cuddling, coloring, reading her books, or swinging her in the park. So please, excuse my excessive leave of absence! I really plan to get back on track! ;)
I've learned, through my blogging experience... I can't believe this is what it has taken for me to realize this .... but that I can be
Before I get started though I have linked up with Farley over at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for her monthly currently. I always love these... I'm even thinking about doing something similar with my kiddos, it would be fun to make a little scrapbook of their year using a monthly currently!
If you're from Texas, I hope you relate to my hate. As much as I love our great state, seriously it is the greatest, our weather is not! I feel some weeks, especially here lately, we hit every season within 7 days. Absolutely ridiculous, if you're asking my opinion! ;)
February began with a fun weekend back in my college town with my best friend, Lindsey!
The next night I was able to go out with another set of great friends to listen to some of my favorite Texas country music, Wade Bowen! :) Needless to say it was a much needed and enjoyed weekend!
B reading her new Valentine's day books on our way to get donuts! |
Before I knew it, I blinked and it was Valentine's day. Our morning started out with donuts for both B and the class!
The weather, in true Texas form, has been hot and cold allowing us to spend a lot of time at the park this month! :)
And of course, in true B form.... she has made plenty of messes!
Obviously, we've had a lot of fun, you can see why I've been "glitching!"
This past weekend, we spent Saturday having a mommy-daughter date, as if everyday isn't one with us!
So with all of this, you may be wondering, well has she even been teaching, planning, creating?? Yes, seriously I promise I have. These last few weeks, I've actually been prepping for one of my favorite parts of the year, when we read Charlotte's Web! Last year I bought an awesome resource, however, it wasn't as laid out as I need it to be for me and my way of organizing the book. So I spent some time creating a new unit for Charlotte's Web!! I'm super excited about it, but it's not completely done. However, for tonight I will leave you with a little freebie, some Charlotte's Web bookmarks! Just click on the picture below to download it from google docs! :)
So I will leave you with this for the week.....I need to recite it I think! haha Enjoy your week!
Welcome back! Love the pictures!

I guess you're right, I would prefer this weather rather than blizzards!! Haha it's all about perspective! I teach in Killeen ISD ...not too far from CS!
DeleteLove the pictures and the cute story about 'glitching' and I especially love the quote at the end!
ReplyDelete:) thanks Lindz!! 7 days till I get to see you, 8 till our race....EEEKKKKK!!! :)
DeleteI live in Texas, too, so I can TOTALLY relate to your comment about the weather. I'm in the DFW area, and it was almost 90 on Monday, and then back down to the 50's yesterday and today. Ugh. No wonder everyone's allergies keep flaring up!

I agree...it can do a trip on the allergies:)
